If you want a good, accurate, single shot pistol for hunting or target, the MRI would not be a bad choice at all, IMHO. I fired a T/C of a co-workers once in 35 Rem with a 12" non-ported barrel that was 2x as bad, or so I felt. The barrel was ported and recoil was not bad at all. The breech was a screw you gave 1/2 turn to and pivoted open and closed, and then there was a cocking lever on the side that had to pulled after loading the chamber. Over all I was very impressed with the guns accuracy but loading was slow. The owner had steel crow and P-dog targets that we shot at, and I tried 2 rds at the bottom of a 4 oz juice can end on 100 yds and connected with both. The chambering was 308 Win, and as I recall it had a 2x7 Burris scope. I shot one once back when the Grand Blanc Sportsmen still had a rifle/pistol range. Was thinking about getting one for Deer Season.
